The setting for Virginia Woolf’s book is the Isle of Skye, the largest island in the Inner Hebrides archipelago, and that is what has inspired the fragrance for our gorgeous literary candle. Top notes of sea spray and the outdoors blend seamlessly with cyclamen and vetiver which stop the ozonic scent becoming one dimensional. It’s complex, but then again, so is To The Lighthouse.
This is a classic book about life and the intricacies of human relationships - with the friends that visit the island, within the Ramsay family itself and the pull between men and women, not unlike the ebb and flow of the tide. It’s a force, like Woolf herself - a highly recommended read and candle too!

Caring For Your Candle
The first time you light your candle, let it burn until the wax melts to the edge of the glass jar as this will prevent tunnelling. This could be anywhere between two to four hours.
Caution: the glass jar may become hot to touch.
Pinch the cooled, burned end of the wick or trim wick to 5mm before you re-light your candle.
Please wash and reuse your jar.

Our wax is a vegan wax, an eco blend of coconut and rapeseed and you'll notice that we have changed our wicks from wooden to eco cotton. We've been deliberate about our choices, opting for an easily renewable wax that burns cleanly, a sustainable wick and oils that are free from phthalates.
