What’s an Austen inspired bookish candle without tea? It simply couldn’t be! We’ve used green tea as the main fragrance in this literary candle and good judgement has been used to balance that note with bergamot, that most beautiful floral citrus.
This lovely scented candle encompasses both the refined Elinor and her more spirited younger sister, Marianne. It is the perfect one to light when reading any Austen novel, or just settling down, Dashwood-style, with a well-deserved cuppa. A perfectly balanced union of floral and fresh.
All of our scented candles for book lovers are hand poured in Edinburgh, Scotland and are created with readers of the classics in mind. We are inspired by stories; a person, a theme or a place from our chosen books.

Caring For Your Candle
The first time you light your candle, let it burn until the wax melts to the edge of the glass jar as this will prevent tunnelling. This could be anywhere between two to four hours.
Caution: the glass jar may become hot to touch.
Pinch the cooled, burned end of the wick or trim wick to 5mm before you re-light your candle.
Please wash and reuse your jar.

Our wax is a vegan wax, an eco blend of coconut and rapeseed and you'll notice that we have changed our wicks from wooden to eco cotton. We've been deliberate about our choices, opting for an easily renewable wax that burns cleanly, a sustainable wick and oils that are free from phthalates.
